Decodable Readers: Structured Literacy Design Series
This toolkit includes a set of ten decodable, foldable mini-books designed to support early literacy through phonics-aligned instruction. Each story strictly follows targeted phonics patterns, supportings systematic and explicit instruction in line with the Science of Reading.as outlined in the scope and sequence below and spiraling back to review skills already learned. Developed in Microsoft Word with custom layouts and exported to PDF print-ready formats. To enhance usability, I also created a print guide so teachers can easily reproduce the materials.
Use this resource to:
-
Provide systematic phonics practice for emerging readers
-
Reinforce high-frequency words alongside phonics instruction
-
Save prep time with ready-to-use booklets and templates.
-
Adapt lessons for multilingual learners and diverse classroom needs.
This project demonstrates both creative content development and practical design skills that help educators bring engaging, accessible literacy resources into the classroom.
